Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM)
Available with Katherine Bagley only
After reading The Resonance Effect, I was excited by the potential FSM offers for my patients and me. Frequency Specific Microcurrent is an innovative treatment using low-level electrical frequencies delivered through moistened towels or pads similar to those used in TENS therapy. It is a safe, reproducible method with very few side effects.
In clinic, FSM has proven effective for:
- Sciatic pain and nerve inflammation
- Reducing symptoms of fibromyalgia
- Supporting hypermobility issues
- Speeding up injury recovery
- Softening and reducing scar tissue
What to Expect
During your session, you’ll lie comfortably while electrodes are placed—usually connected to warm, damp cloths positioned at your neck and either your feet or the affected area. Many people don’t feel the machine running, while others experience deep relaxation or sleepiness during treatment. These sensations only last while the machine is on, and you will be safe to drive afterward.
Preparation & Safety
FSM works best when you are well hydrated. We recommend drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your session and at least one litre in the hours before treatment. Benefits can often be felt after the first session but typically build over multiple treatments.
FSM is not recommended for people with pacemakers or during pregnancy.
Combining FSM with Osteopathy
FSM complements osteopathic treatment perfectly and can enhance your overall care.
